As stated on their website, SaleHoo is an Online wholesale suppliers directory and community for traditional retailers, eBay and Amazon sellers and Online traders. What makes SaleHoo a reputable company is the fact that it was established back in 2005 by Simon Slade and Mark Ling from New Zealand, and now employs twenty-nine staff in four different countries with a strong supporting network of eBay Power Sellers. SaleHoo is based in Christchurch, New Zealand and also has staff located in Australia, the United States and Asia.

Quick, Important Announcement for Anyone Interested in Selling on Amazon!

Becoming a successful Amazon seller requires using the right product research tools before venturing into this type of business, which is why I recently published a comprehensive review about one of the most important tools needed here:

Go ahead and follow the link provided above, it opens in a different tab and obviously contains valuable information for you to absorb at a later stage. You don’t have to worry about getting distracted away from this SaleHoo review.

Why is SaleHoo Still Considered the #1 Wholesale Suppliers Directory for Amazon and eBay Online?

¬†First and foremost, I have read many SaleHoo reviews Online and I must say that it didn’t come as surprise when I came across a few negative ones in my research on SaleHoo. Complaints will always arise from unsatisfied customers expressing their feelings about products and services, both Online and off-line. You cannot keep everyone happy, but you can always improve your services or products based on customer reviews. With that being said, SaleHoo remains at the top of the chain because of many positive reviews they receive from satisfied customers. See what others are saying below.

What to Expect Inside SaleHoo’s Website

The image below shows what your SaleHoo membership dashboard looks like. It is extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate.

SaleHoo Review - Dashboard

You can easily search for product suppliers using the search box provided on your dashboard. This will obviously follow your in-depth product research using one of the tools I referred to at the beginning of this post called ASINspector.

SaleHoo offers its members with “Five Essential Steps to Success” as a guide which include the following:

1. Deciding on What to Sell

In this section of the ‘five essential steps to success’, you will learn why having a good product with a healthy profit margin that sells well is the basis of seventy to eighty percent (70% to 80%) of your Online marketing success. How does one achieve this without knowing where and how to look? The answer to this question is answered in the SaleHoo Market Research Lab that comes free with your SaleHoo membership. As I mentioned earlier, I recommend that you use their market research lab in conjunction with ASINspector.

2. Finding Trusted Suppliers

This is one the most important factors affecting the success or failure of many Online sellers. This is due to the fact that many wholesalers charge retailers prices that make it extremely difficult to have a profitable Online selling business. As a result, many people step out of retail businesses after realizing that they couldn’t make any money when ‘PayPal, shipping and eBay fees’ start kicking in. This is where SaleHoo comes into play. You will have unlimited access to a directory of trusted wholesale suppliers that will help you make your Online business a profitable one.

3. Decide where to sell

As you may already know, eBay and Amazon are the most common and popular Online marketplaces. I personally prefer selling on Amazon, the choice is really yours but if you follow SaleHoo’s guide, you should be fine.

Here are my personal reasons why I prefer selling on Amazon:

I’m really interested in SaleHoo, but after looking at some other reviews I found people mentioning additional fees to access sellers. Is it common that the dropshippers listed will have fees to access their catalogs or to work with them?

    • Peter Mantu Post author

      Hi Lisa,

I have to be honest when I say that I wasn’t aware of fees being charged for simply accessing catalogs or working with drop-shippers. Nevertheless, I would advice that you check out my recently published post on how to sell on Amazon and learn how you can access thousands of suppliers for free. If you need more information, you will find it on the post mentioned above.

I looked at Salehoo and a few other directories. I was unimpressed with Salehoo. One of the companies I was interested in has a horrible record with the BBB. Where is the research that they supposedly do? I can find out more on Google.

Additionally, it’s horribly organized. The search functions don’t work properly. For example, in the grocery category, Bangalla should be high on the list. They didn’t show up at all.

I was hoping the labs would provide benefit, but I was disappointed in that as well.

I normally don’t ask for refunds, but I did on this one.
